I think there are many benefits for schools joining the community, but there are three main benefits – one is the students get the opportunity to take an international curriculum.
A student taking Cambridge qualifications will start to understand what it’s like to work more within an international environment. It gives them more choice – our qualifications are recognised around the world by all the leading universities in many countries. It means that students have the choice to actually go on to further study in their own country or overseas.
The second benefit is the support that we provide to schools that are joining the Cambridge community. First of all, having somebody in their region that’s able to help them understand Cambridge and the way we work. Secondly, we have a lot of training – we provide training all around the world for teachers and exams officers to help them implement Cambridge and start taking our qualifications.
Schools joining the Cambridge community can work with 10 000 schools around the world where we share best practice with them. We have various online tools where they can talk to each other, as well as offline conferences and seminars which we run around the world for our schools.
